I've escaped to DE where we heathens can not only buy beer and booze in the same store but due it on Sundays, without sales tax.

I'm very disappointed PA didn't have the balls to fight. Let shit like this be a lesson though. Once atheists are organized and have a legal cadre like the xtians, look out. It seems that's all it takes to bully governments, a war chest and an army of lawyers. Anyone taking notes?PhillyChiefhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03355892225956705948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36453833.post-53502981737158316782007-06-15T07:24:00.000-04:002007-06-15T07:24:00.000-04:00> No Jews need apply. One ...Yes, the 'flawed' can be cured...so they say. One of the kids I deal with went to Geneva. He also went to Bob Jones. Finds the local community college quite refreshing. Said that although he doesn't agree with it, my world view on religion is a bit clearer to him.

I often get called to perform last minute for special music at churches come Easter or Christmas and other festivals. On a couple of occasions there was some protest as my atheism is no secret, but this was met by, "Who else would be available at this time of year at short notice?" And, in the case of where my wife goes to church, I do it free of charge.

As Joe says, the Catholics don't seem to be too into your personal religion, but the more conservative protestants find this like-mindedness to be very important.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36453833.post-75861546204270958582007-05-09T06:57:00.000-04:002007-05-09T06:57:00.000-04:0025 years ago I went to work as a cook for a Cathol...25 years ago I went to work as a cook for a Catholic Motherhouse (the HQ for Nuns). During my interview the Sister asked me if I was Catholic. I told her I wasn't and is it going to be a problem? She assured me it wouldn't be and she was right. Even when I told some of the younger Nuns I was an Atheist they didn't bat an eye. Working a secular job for the Catholics was an expierence.Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14955078574626461009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36453833.post-33655785588642628972007-05-08T22:51:00.000-04:002007-05-08T22:51:00.000-04:00Yes, Sarge, but even those flawed leaders can be "...Yes, Sarge, but even those flawed leaders can be "cured" if enough people pray for them.

That's one of the things you'd learn if you took the time to speak with the workers at Geneva College. The Exterminatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14452054124550486048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36453833.post-52001746709203015122007-05-07T21:32:00.000-04:002007-05-07T21:32:00.000-04:00As I am a resident of Pencil Tuckey, that ain't th...As I am a resident of Pencil Tuckey, that ain't the half of it. Seems the more demanding and irrational something is, the more eagerly it is pursued by some people. Remember, since it deals with the christian stripe of religion, it is by definition "good" no matter what...unless the leader starts having sex with everyone in sight. Then, it's the leaders who are "flawed".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
